Victoria's Review of Change or Suppression (Conversion) Practices Prohibition Act 2021 has come up for a 2-year statutory review.
LGB Alliance Australia has written to Victorian Attorney-General Jaclyn Symes reiterating our reservations about the law, asking that the findings of the review be made public, and urging that the reviewers give full and meaningful consideration to the many significant developments since 2021.

Online Safety Act Review
LGB Alliance Australia contributed to the review of Australia's Online Safety Act 2021, highlighting four concerns: the impact of smartphones and social media on children who may grow up to be LGB adults; the use of "hate speech" laws to silence discussions on biological sex; the misuse of the adult cyber abuse reporting scheme to suppress references to biological sex; and the disappointing messaging about LGB Australians in eSafety public resources.
